GP Registrars

GP Registrars are qualified doctors.  They will have different amounts of experience but will have worked for at least 2 years in a hospital before they can train to become a GP; many will have a lot more experience.  GP Registrars will join us in August and February each year and stay with the practice for 6 – 12 months.

The following are GP Registrars:

Dr H Cain (f)

Dr H Khan (f)

Dr S Schwiebert (f)

Trainee Doctors

Trainee doctors come to the surgery to train in Primary Care for four months, they start in August, December and April each year.

Dr J Pennington (m) is currently training with us.

GP Locums

From time to time we have to employ GP locums who are fully qualified general practitioners, to help us out during times of holiday, sickness and maternity leave cover.

At present Dr Smith is here on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and Dr Anjum is available on a Monday.  Both have proved very popular with our patients.
