New Paperless Prescription Service

Electronic prescribing

If you receive regular repeat prescriptions and collect your medication from the same pharmacy most of the time you may wish to consider this new service which will start on the 5th March 2014. You should continue to order your repeat prescriptions in the usual way but the surgery will send the prescription electronically to the pharmacy you have nominated so there is no need for a paper prescription.

Alternatively, we can send your medication to a pharmacy near where you are (as long as that pharmacy has signed up to receive electronic prescriptions) at a specific time for example if you work away.

You can then go straight to the pharmacy to collect your medication saving you a journey to the surgery. The pharmacist will print a copy of your medication and any messages or reminders from your doctor about medication reviews so it is important that you check this and book an appointment if asked to before your next prescription is due.
